Privacy Policy
Calculations and game links
BowlingCalc calculates results in your browser. We do not run a game-account system or a database of saved scorecards. The scorer places bowler names and deliveries in the page URL; the handicap tool also places its inputs in the URL. Browser history and bookmarks may retain those links.
When you open a link, its path and query string are sent with the request to the hosting provider. Anyone you share the link with can read its contents. Use nicknames and avoid sensitive information. Copying or bookmarking a link is your choice.
Hosting and technical data
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP address, browser information and requested URLs to deliver and secure the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its processing practices.
Usage counts and performance analytics
We count a small set of tool actions to understand whether the calculators are useful: beginning a calculation, completing a game, successfully copying a result or link, and requesting a print. Each action is counted at most once for each tool in a page load. We store only daily totals by tool and action, with test traffic kept separate. The counter does not store names, scores, calculator inputs, page URLs, IP addresses, visitor identifiers or individual event histories. It sends no page referrer and sets no cookies. These totals describe actions, not unique people.
The usage counter respects a browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal and skips browser automation when it is identified. Internal testing can use a temporary test flag in the page link or browser session to send actions into the separate test totals. That flag is not a visitor identifier.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page visits and loading performance. Its browser beacon is cookie-free and does not use browser storage to identify people. Cloudflare’s hosting and security systems separately process technical requests as described above. Browser settings and content blockers may limit measurement.
Cookies and advertising
Our site code sets no cookies. Google AdSense is not enabled, and we do not currently load advertising scripts. Cloudflare may apply its own security measures when serving requests.
If advertising is introduced, this policy will be updated before activation, together with any required consent controls. Google or other advertising partners may use cookies and other identifiers under the terms of the enabled service. There is no advertising-personalization setting to change on BowlingCalc today because that service is inactive.
Links and future affiliates
The site currently has no affiliate links. If we add labelled affiliate links to bowling equipment retailers, those retailers may use referral parameters or cookies to attribute purchases. Our affiliate disclosure will describe the current arrangement.
Contact messages and changes
If you email us, your email provider and ours process the message. We use the information you send to respond to the issue and improve the site. Do not send information unnecessary to your question. For privacy requests, email contact@bowlingcalc.com.
Changes to this policy will appear on this page with an updated date.
